1. If I could travel anywhere related to the ocean, I would love to go to New Zealand. I am really interested in the unique species of animals there, also the beaches look so different from North American beaches. I don’t think I would leave if I went there!

2. Since I am teaching the class, I will tell you instead what are my favorite parts of the curriculum. I think it is really interesting to discuss and ponder about exploring the deep parts of the ocean…the amazing, creepy things that live there and the technology needed to get there. I also really enjoy the dissections –shark, sea cucumber, starfish, sea urchin, fish, squid. I love giving kids the opportunity! Disgusting yet so COOL! 1. If I could travel to any place related to the ocean, I would go to Australia. The water is beautiful and the ocean ecosystem is like nothing around Virginia.

I don’t really have a reason, I like the wildlife there and the beaches, and I have a friend that lives over there. In this class I would just like to learn about the ocean… It’s that simple.

I’ve always wanted to go there after the pictures I’ve seen from my brothers honey moon. Would love to go scuba diving in the clear blue waters of the carribean.

If I could go anywhere I’d probably go back to Sardinia Italy where I’ ve spent most of my youth at. The reason why is I’m a very avid diver and by far palau was the best dive site that I’ve ever been to. There was a lot of sea life, wreckage that was turned into habitats, as well as a lot of cave areas to explore.
What I would like to learn about this class if it’s anything like what I had to go through to reinstate my C-card (divers license) is more about the atmosphere levels of the 33 ft depth. Or anything related to tidal movements, and currents.
I’ve never been diving but would love to. I have a good friend that is an expert diver and who leads expeditions. Maybe I can ask him to come talk to the class. We will spend some time exploring the tidal regions and why global currents are so important.
I would love to hear more about living and diving around Sardinia. Have photos?
If I could go to any beach in the world, I would go to Hawaii. Everything and everyone is happy their, it’s one of a kind.
I want to learn about what type of animals are at the bottom of the ocean. Animals that a lot of people have never seen before.
Hawaii is truly a one of a kind place. We will spend time looking at how the islands were formed, how life got there and what environmental issues face them. Post a photo here please? The creatures at the bottom of the ocean are amazing. We will explore that region of the ocean quite a bit.

1) If I could go anywhere involving the ocean, it would be Puerto Rico. Half of my family originates from Puerto Rico, and I hear that the beaches there a very beautiful. Between that and the wildlife, I would stay there for a very long time.

I have always thought that viginia was the best state. I maintain that opinion on the grounds that there are very few places on earth where you have mountains on one side and oceans on the other without extreme climate variance. The ultimate ocean destination in my mind therefore is Viginia beach. The mild climate, gentle tides, and relatively diverse ecosystem all make it a desirable destination.
If I could go anywhere related to the ocean, I would probably travel to the Dominican Republic, because it is probably a diversity of creatures in the water, and I would not mind learning a little bit of the culture of the people from there. If I could learn anything from Oceanography it would probably be learning about the diversity of sharks and some whales.
I would love to visit the Bermuda Triangle. Why? Because many people are interested in because it is veiled in a dark cloak of mystery. And I would love to see the rusting carcasses of the fallen planes and wrecked ships. Mainly because I find old decaying things to be interesting, wether it be something man has made and nature tuned into a playground, or the skeleton of an animal that has met it’s untimely fate. But being as I love unexplainable things I find interest in things beyond the human world.
1) If I could go anywhere ocean related it would be Australia. I really like how clear the water which makes it optimal for diving. There are also a wide variety of sea creatures including some very dangerous ones. It would be nice to go there for a vacation but I do not know if I would want to live there.

If I could travel anywhere in the ocean, I would love to travel to the coastal reefs in Australia. I would chose the coastal reefs, because reefs are full of diverse specimens.
In this class I hope to learn about the animals in the ocean, I say this because my plans for the future are to be a veterinarian. 1. Though it’s been a couple years since I’ve been scuba diving, I’ve always wanted to dive the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Australia. It’s the worlds largest single structure made by living organisms that can actually be seen from outer space. The reefs contain a very wide diversity of life and has been labeled one of the seven natural wonders of the world.
2. I’m really looking forward to helping students with various labs, especially the GK-12 project!
