Oceanography: Dream Vacation

Hi students!  Today in class you filled out a questionnaire sharing a little about yourself with Mrs. Griffith.  At the end of the questionnaire, you were directed to come to the Rm. 215 Blog to answer a couple questions.  Soooooooooo here goes:

Everyone has to leave a reply!  THIS IS YOUR FIRST GRADE.  You have two questions to answer.  Here are the guidelines — be real, be mindful it is PUBLIC.  Also search for a photo to add to your answer.   Remember to site your source.  IDK does not count as an answer, by the way.  Think about it and give good responses.

1.  If you could go anywhere related ocean, where would it be and why? (can be a place near or in the ocean…even into the ocean.)

2.  What do you especially want to learn about in this Oceanography Class?

Here is a basic model for answering these questions:

Name:  Dianna Griffith

1.  If I could travel anywhere related to the ocean, I would love to go to New Zealand.  I am really interested in the unique species of animals there, also the beaches look so different from North American beaches.  I don’t think I would leave if I went there!

2.  Since I am teaching the class, I will tell you instead what are my favorite parts of the curriculum.  I think it is really interesting to discuss and ponder about exploring the deep parts of the ocean…the amazing, creepy things that live there and the technology needed to get there.  I also really enjoy  the dissections –shark, sea cucumber, starfish, sea urchin, fish, squid.  I love giving kids the opportunity!  Disgusting yet so COOL!   Here is a video about Angler Fish:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Jb3ig6phio
